Premier League News Round 1

Hamilton Power got their 2021 Premier League campaign off to a great start after the first scheduled weekend was postponed due to Greater Brisbane’s 3 day COVID-19 lockdown.

What a way to kick off the Premier League Season, under lights with a vocal crowd, and awesome atmosphere as The Powerhouse was pumping.

Everyone that turned up were treated to some great bowls in both grades.

The Premier Grade had a great first up win, defeating Enoggera 67 – 54, while the Reserve Grade went down 52 – 97 to a strong Eagles outfit.

Andrew Howie’s team defeated Samuel White’s team 26 – 22, John Newell’s team defeated Jamie Anderson’s team 25 – 10, and Nic Gosley’s  team went down to Matthew Lucas’s team 16 – 22.

Great first up win for The Mighty Power

The Reserve Grade Power side played great all night but were overpowered by a very strong Enoggera outfit. They have a solid squad and will be much stronger as the competition progresses.

Dale Atkins’ team lost to Rod Dixon’s team 8 – 31, Chris Scott’s team lost to Brad Flegler’s team 16 – 23, Anthony Neven’s tam lost to Stuart McCosh’s team 15 – 27 and Daniel Keogh’s team lost to Jim Wises’s team 13 – 16.

Good Luck to all the teams in Round 2 on Saturday January 23 against Victoria Point at Victoria Point starting at 5.00pm.
